About this website

The Padfield Village website is intended to be an adaptable source of information for Padfield residents.
It provides general information and, for each community organisation, an individual page on which they can add their own content.

Aims of the website
Our aim is to ensure the website fulfils its role of being an adaptable, information resource for locals and visitors alike.
The website has been laid out to:
  1. Provide information to the village community, conveyed in an honest and open manner;
  2. Provide a dedicated page for each community organisation, on which they can publish their own information;
    Note that the website is not intended for commercial advertising;
  3. Ensure all information is clear, apolitical and constructive in nature, serving its intended purpose and does not contain commercial advertising;
  4. Provide a channel for villagers to raise questions, concerns or comments;
  5. Promote the best interests of the village at all times.

Editorial Policy and publishing process
The website is run by a small, skilled website administration team, who can be contacted at [email protected]
The administration team will try to resolve and, if appropriate, act upon any request (for example, a question, comment or concern about the website) as soon as practical.
If the request cannot be acted upon straight away by the administration team, for whatever reason at the time, it will be discussed by a meeting of the "Oversight Team" - representatives of the community organisations which have a presence on the website.

Any Padfield community organisation may apply to have a "presence" on the Padfield Village website.
Externally originated content - for example, submitted by a Padfield community organisation - is placed on the website by the following process:
  1. The draft content is checked for minor errors and for consistency with the website aims (see above);
    if any problems are found, the author is invited to revise the draft content;
  2. The website administration team publish the checked (and, if necessary, revised)  content onto the website;
    the author is notified that the content has been published;
  3. In case of failure to reach agreement between the author and the website administration team about changes to the submitted content, a final decision will be made by a meeting of the Oversight Team.

Have your say
If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the website or if you have any ideas, suggestion or feedback, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us using the contact us page and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
