Padfield Community Spaces
Sunday 14th June, from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm  -  Grand Opening of the Temple Street Community Garden.
Padfield Community Spaces warmly invite you to the GRAND OPENING of Temple Street Community Garden.
We’ll officially cut the ribbon and open the garden at 2pm. 
There will be games, refreshments, a smoothie bike, the opportunity to Befriend a Tree for Summer, and more. Bring a picnic, bring family and friends, and join us to celebrate this amazing community success!

Teddy Bears’ Picnic 2026
Saturday 20th June 10.45 am – 2 pm
The picnic will be held at Hadfield, Glossop and Guide Bridge Stations. There will be free travel for parents and children travelling with a bear or any soft toy/animal between the participating stations courtesy of Northern.  There will be activities at all stations and a Hunt the Bears competition across the participating stations.  Come along and join in the fun

Hadfield Open Art Show
Saturday, 27th and Sunday 28th June 2026, 10 am to 5 pm
Hadfield Hall (upper room), Station Road, Hadfield, SK13 1AA
Free entrance. Artists must submit artwork on 23rd June at the Hall from 2pm - 7pm. Registration forms and further information on Hadfield Hall website under Art Show. On Saturday 27th there will be a Pro Loco - an open-air painting competition

Redgate Coal Race
Sunday 6th September 2026

Redgate will be closed to road traffic from 11am to  2pm 

Chapel Events
Sunday 14th June, 2.30pm
Our 198th Church Anniversary Service is on Sunday, 14th June at 2.30pm and everyone is welcome to celebrate with us. Rev. Foday Kamara, minister at Chinley Congregational Church will be leading our service and celebrating with us.

  • 3rd Monday of each Month, 7.00 pm - Padfield Residents' Society meeting at the Peels
  • Tuesdays 7.30 pm – 8.30 pm Singing for fun
  • Tuesdays 11.00 Residents' Coffee Morning at the Chapel
  • 2nd Tuesday of every month - Hadfield with Padfield WI meet at Hadfield Methodist Church, 99 Station Road, Hadfield at 7.30
  • Wednesdays – 11.00 - 12.15 Padfield Chapel - Open Doors: led reflection, tea, coffee, and cake
  • Wednesdays 12.30 onwards the Chapel is open as a Warm Spaces venue
  • Thursdays 11.00 Warm Hub Space at The Peels
  • Sundays Padfield Chapel
    • Sunday Service 10.45 (1st, 2nd, 4th/5th Sundays), 11.00 (3rd Sunday)
    • Family Worship 9.30 3rd Sunday with light breakfast from 9.15

Tuesday Club
Just a reminder that Tuesday Club (Tuesdays 11- 12 at the Chapel) is for all Padfield Residents. Whatever your age or your reason for being around on Tuesday mornings:- at home with a baby or child? Off work at the moment? Working from Home and able to take a short break? Retired? You will be welcome to join us for coffee or tea and cake.

If you like a good sing-along you are welcome to join us onTuesday evenings 7.30 – 8.30.
This is not a choir, anyone can come along and just enjoy singing favourite songs as part of a group.
